Press Release on Revivogen
Study shows that topical Revivogen reduces DHT production up to 90% on living human skin cells.
Advanced Skin and Hair Inc, the maker of Revivogen, hired BIOalternatives to study the effects of topical Revivogen on a reconstructed human epidermis. BIOalternatives is a medical service company that performs studies to aid in the support of new drugs and new protocols by outside companies such as Advanced Skin and Hair Inc. They have numerous clients and they operate in multiple countries throughout the world.
The question being asked and studied was: can topical application of Revivogen reduce DHT production and to what extend. The test was controlled by a sample receiving no blocking agent and other samples receiving standard doses of Finastride and Dutastride as the gold standard for DHT reduction.
The study showed that topical Revivogen was able to reduce DHT production and in fact had a greater DHT inhibition ratio compared to topical Finasteride and Dutastride. The results are below.
- Topical Revivogen: 90% DHT inhibitor ratio
- Topical Dutasteride: 86% DHT inhibitor ratio
- Topical Finasteride: 67% DHT inhibitor ratio
So in reading the results, topical Revivogen inhibits 90% of the DHT production in reconstructed human epidermis which is made of living human skin cells.
It is worth noting that this study was not developed solely for Revivogen and is a standard test offered by BIOalternatives and conducted regularly for various companies and products. Also there have been no formal FDA clinical trials on topical Finasteride and Dutasteride to date. The clinical trials on these drugs have been focused on their pill form but the idea of using them as a topical formulation is not new and there are some companies that offer such products in other countries.
